Coco Caprylate/Caprate

Coco Caprylate/Caprate is a lightweight, high‑performance natural ester emollient (C8-10 fatty acids connected to C12-18 fatty alcohols) that delivers a fresh, non‑greasy skin feel with excellent spreadability and low viscosity. It rapidly absorbs to leave skin smooth, soft and non‑oily, improving sensory performance in lotions, creams, sunscreens, makeup removers and other personal‑care products. It is an excellent solvent for organic UV filters and helps reduce greasiness in sunscreen formulations while maintaining SPF performance. The material offers good pigment dispersibility for color cosmetics, high stability (low tendency to rancidity), low irritation potential and long shelf life. It is often used as a breathable substitute for volatile silicones to provide a silky, velvety finish in mid‑to‑high end formulations.
