Ditrimethylolpropane Myristate/Stearate (INCI: DITRIMETHYLOLPROPANE MYRISTATE/STEARATE) is a novel, highly effective emollient and humectant designed for personal care applications. It provides powerful and long‑lasting moisturization while remaining very mild and non‑irritating to skin. On skin it rapidly integrates with sebum to help repair the lipid barrier, significantly reduce TEWL (trans‑epidermal water loss) and improve skin hydration and texture; it can dissolve large amounts of ceramides and, when combined with ceramides, better restore dry skin barrier function, promote moisture retention and support skin metabolism to help reduce wrinkles and hyperpigmentation concerns. It delivers a smooth, non‑greasy, glossy skin feel and is an excellent alternative to solid oils such as petrolatum and lanolin. In haircare it improves rinse‑off slip, enhances post‑wash softness and shine, does not reduce foam or viscosity, and can aid in improving dandruff removal.
