Ethylhexyl Stearate
General Description
Ethylhexyl Palmitate (2EHP) is a high‑purity fatty ester used as a premium emollient in cosmetics and personal care. It provides a lightweight, breathable, non‑greasy skin feel with excellent spreadability and rapid skin absorption. 2‑EHP improves formulation slip, enhances gloss and sensory smoothness, and acts as an effective solvent/dispersant for pigments and lipid‑soluble actives (including organic UV filters). It is chemically and thermally stable, resists oxidation and odor formation, and is widely used in creams, lotions, sunscreens, foundations, lip products and hair oils where a dry, silky finish is desired.
